Principal
Khang Nguyen leads Next Kin Partner, which provides financial and operational support to critical services businesses navigating succession and their next chapter of growth.
Before founding NKP, he spent 13 years in investment banking and private capital: M&A and restructuring at Perella Weinberg Partners, followed by growth equity and debt investing as a Vice President at Bison Capital Partners. That experience gave him a firsthand view of what durable transitions require: patient capital, clear alignment, careful execution, and respect for the people and relationships behind the business.
At NKP, he works with owner-operators on succession planning, strategic finance, and operational value creation. The goal is to preserve the strengths of the existing business while improving the systems, workflows, and decision-making needed for the next generation.
His training in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research at UC Berkeley informs that hands-on approach. NKP combines systems and process engineering with practical agentic software to reduce repetitive work, improve the customer experience, and strengthen margins without asking operators to replace what already works.
