Khang Nguyen
Founder, Principal & Systems Engineer
Khang Nguyen leads Next Kin Partner, where our domain expertise spans capital, technology, and operations.
Prior to NKP, he spent 13 years in investment banking and private equity: M&A and restructuring at Perella Weinberg Partners, then structuring growth equity and debt as a Vice President at Bison Capital Partners. He also trained as an industrial engineer and operations researcher at UC Berkeley. That discipline is the basis of NKP's operational excellence work.
Across a decade of underwriting and executing platform investments, add-ons, and exits, he sat with management teams on value creation, M&A, and exit positioning. That private-capital experience is the foundation of NKP's capital & transactions advisory practice.
Technology and R&D spend decisions were central to how he underwrote deals and drove portfolio value. At NKP, he is deploying agentic software into his own platforms and building a portfolio of productized services for other critical-services operators - which form the basis of the firm's technology transformation work. Owner-operators get that engineer's and operator's lens alongside the investor's experience.
